Summer Camps

Dear Clarify Kitchen Summer Camp Families,

I am writing with a heartfelt and sincere apology regarding our Summer Camp program.

It is incredibly difficult for me to share that we will need to cancel all Clarify Kitchen summer camps for this season. This is not a decision we made lightly, especially because we had so many exciting plans to bring these experiences to life in our brand new space.

On the morning of our grand opening (what timing), I received unexpected and life-changing news that my husband had been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a form of bone marrow cancer. He will be undergoing an intensive stem cell transplant at Rush Hospital in Chicago, requiring him to be admitted.  We just learned it will happen the Monday morning of our first day of camp, ugh, continuing through July.   

During this time, my focus will need to be fully with him, and I will be quarantined in his room for 2 full weeks as well.  

Because of this, we are unable to give our summer camps the attention, energy, and experience they deserve, and that your children deserve. All registrations will be fully refunded immediately. If you do not see your refund within a few days, please let us know via this email or our company cell (630-338-5447) asap. 

I also want to reassure you and our catering customers, BusyButternut Catering will continue to honor all current and existing catering commitments through June and July as planned and scheduled. I have full confidence and trust in our incredible team to execute every event with the same care, quality, and attention to detail that you expect from me. We will, however, not be taking on any additional catering at this time. 

Please know how much this opportunity meant to us. We had envisioned a summer filled with learning, creativity, laughter and joy in the kitchen, and it is truly heartbreaking to put that on pause. That said, this is only a pause, not an ending.

We fully plan to return this fall with a renewed schedule of classes, camps, and experiences, bigger, better, and more aligned with everything we originally dreamed Clarify Kitchen would be. We cannot wait to welcome you back into our space when the time is right.
